Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Maritime AI Specialist to join our STEM Research division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI and maritime technologies, with a passion for developing innovative solutions to enhance maritime operations. This role involves working on advanced AI projects, contributing to our research initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technologies into maritime applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cutting-edge research in AI and machine learning to develop novel solutions for maritime applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technologies into various maritime industry applications.
- Design, implement, and evaluate AI models and systems, ensuring high performance and accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and maritime technologies, and apply new techniques to ongoing projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
- Strong experience with AI and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
- Solid understanding of maritime operations and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in applying AI and machine learning techniques to real-world maritime problems.
- Background in autonomous maritime systems and robotics.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and big data technologies.
- Previous experience in mentoring or leading engineering teams.
